The Holy Spirit
"The Lord, the Giver of Life"

"The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Holy Trinity who, ‘with the Father and Son is worshipped and glorified’. God, the Holy Spirit gives life to the Church and is at work in the minds and hearts of people everywhere, calling them to lead good lives. In ways known only to God, the Spirit subtly calls people to serve others and worship God and his Christ in the Church. It is sometimes said that the Holy Spirit is ‘the forgotten person’ of the Blessed Trinity. In human terms it is perhaps easy to understand why many people may find it easier to conceive of and relate to God in familial terms such as Father or Son, rather than as the more abstract Spirit."

The Holy Spirit Strand is our current learning focus for the term.  Teachers will set the learning from their respective bubbles for their own students.

The learning may take place in a different environment now but it is a fantastic time for the children to learn about the Holy Spirit from their parents at home, as well as their teachers (online).

The children will learn about the Holy Spirit at their own curriculum levels and how important he is in their daily lives in this day and age.

In our Catholic faith, we remember that the Holy Spirit is our helper, our guide, our advocate.  Let us remember to turn to him in prayer when we feel the need for his guidance in our daily lives.

Here is a prayer to the Holy Spirit, from the Catholic Online Website.
